There’s been a lot talk lately about Cloud Computing, but many people still don’t understand the full implications and benefits of this technological revolution. To be fair, the term itself is a bit nebulous, if you’ll forgive the pun. In simple terms, Cloud computing involves using offsite computers to store data, run applications, or provide data crunching power. The “Cloud” name comes from the observation that, thanks to its universal accessibility, from the user’s perspective the computing may as well be happening “in the clouds”.
