Mississauga Budget Committee Votes to Extend Post-Secondary Transit Discount to Career College Students

Mississauga’s Career College students are one step closer to obtaining the same transit fare discount as students attending publicly-funded post-secondary institutions.

The City of Mississauga’s Budget Committee voted favourably in September to extend eligibility for the post-secondary fare category to career college students. If the recommendation is approved by City Council, the discount will take effect May 1, 2014 as part of the MiWay 2014 Fare Strategy.

For more on this matter, view our press release issued on September 18th, 2013.
