CCO Awards 2016: Outstanding Graduate in IT

Recipient: Francois LaLonde, Herzing College.
Francois is a graduate from Herzing College’s Computer Networking Technology program and attended from August 2014 to September 2015.
Over the course of his studies, “Francois demonstrated a passionate and positive approach to his work, committed to success and always taking the time to help others,” wrote Herzing’s Ottawa campus president, Dave McCormick.
Francois’s teachers and classmates recognized him for exhibiting great patience and a positive attitude—something that could easily be attributed to his life outside of the classroom. Francois was a foster parent for 21 years and cared for nearly 65 children with special needs.
Francois graduated with honours and secured employment as an IT Support Worker with the engineering consulting firm ADGA Group.
“What makes Francois stand out are his interpersonal skills. He does not get frustrated and always maintains a very positive and friendly attitude towards everyone he deals with,” wrote ADGA president, John Jarvis.
