We’re preparing for a safe and engaging Annual General Meeting on October 21 at 4 pm. This year’s AGM will be held online, and while much of it will remain the same, we’ve responded to the challenges of COVID-19 by increasing accessibility and the capacity for member engagement.
There are 3 simple steps to participating in our AGM.
To nominate a candidate to the board of directors, submit a candidate bio of no longer than 250 words in length as well as a profile picture through our website. In the submission, please indicate if the nomination is for a board or advisory position.
The deadline to nominate is October 14, 2020.
In accordance with CCO bylaws, the association’s Board of Directors approved a motion to allow early voting in this year’s election of candidates. Following the deadline to nominate, CCO will open early voting to members.
Every CCO member representative will receive an email with a unique link to cast their vote. Voting will remain open until the results are announced live during the AGM.
Members will vote on a motion to extend board term limits for 1 year as well as fill 2 board vacancies. The Board and its Nominations Committee are proposing the extension of current board terms as an emergency measure to maintain stability within the association during COVID-19. Members who cannot attend the AGM are still able to participate in advance voting.
Members may also make nominations on the floor should they choose not to submit a nomination to the association, however, members are strongly encouraged to submit their nomination in advance to include on the ballot for early voting.
This will be the first year we are hosting our CCO AGM online. The CCO AGM will take place via Zoom on Wednesday, October 21st beginning at 4 pm. CCO will provide members with Zoom details shortly.
