Career Colleges Ontario (CCO) represents approximately 280 registered college campuses operating in more than 90 communities across Ontario. These institutions serve many non-traditional learners, including mature students, parents, newcomers, and working adults, by providing flexible, employment-focused training pathways aligned with labour market needs.

Integrity within the sector and the protection of students are top priorities for CCO and its members. CCO works closely with the Ministry of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security to support strong oversight, accountability, and compliance measures to help ensure that public funds are used appropriately and that students receive the support they need.

Decisions regarding OSAP eligibility, student financial assistance, and funding policy are made by the Government of Ontario. As a service provider, CCO administers OSAP on behalf of participating member institutions through a Financial Aid Office that operates in conjunction with the Ministry’s Student Financial Assistance Branch.

CCO will continue working collaboratively with the government on measures that protect students, strengthen accountability, and preserve access to legitimate, career-focused education for the learners who rely on these programs.

Questions related to OSAP policy decisions, provincial funding frameworks, or broader government oversight processes should be directed to the Government of Ontario.
