Career Colleges Ontario is proud to announce Asiya Vankar as one of this year’s recipients of the Outstanding Graduate Award!

Asiya Vankar demonstrated a high level of academic excellence during her studies in the Community Service Worker program at Medix College, graduating with honours and receiving the Award of Excellence for her graduating class. She consistently approached her coursework with professionalism, strong engagement, and a clear sense of purpose. Faculty noted her ability to analyze complex social issues thoughtfully, connect theory to practice, and contribute meaningful insights that enhanced classroom discussions and peer learning. Asiya’s academic performance reflected not only strong capability but also a deep commitment to preparing for effective, ethical community‑based practice.

Asiya has made significant and measurable contributions to the community she serves. Through her work within the Brampton Library system, she has built strong, trusted relationships with community members and newcomers. Her impact was clearly demonstrated when library patrons formally advocated for her continued placement at the Springdale Branch, citing the vital role she played in their settlement experience and sense of belonging. In recognition of her leadership and dedication to fostering inclusion and multicultural understanding, Asiya was also awarded a Certificate of Recognition from the City of Brampton, reflecting the broader community’s value of her work beyond her immediate role.
