Michelle Stephenson has demonstrated exceptional effort and excellence throughout her academic and professional development. Graduating with Distinction at a remarkable 94% average, Michelle consistently exceeded program expectations and was recognized as Valedictorian, a recipient of the Outstanding Academic Achievement award, and for maintaining extended periods of Perfect Attendance.
Her commitment to learning extended beyond curriculum requirements, as exemplified by her completion of an Anatomy lab at the University of Waterloo to further enhance her clinical understanding. Additionally, her successful first‑attempt performance well above benchmark standards on both the OSCE and MCQ licensing examinations, along with multiple advanced certifications, reflects her unwavering pursuit of excellence in massage therapy and healthcare practice.
Michelle’s contributions extend meaningfully to both the academic community and the broader healthcare profession. Through her ongoing volunteer tutoring, involvement in mock OSCEs, and exam-preparation initiatives, she has played a vital role in enhancing students’ preparedness and confidence. Her volunteer clinical experience at an interdisciplinary physiotherapy clinic reflects her commitment to compassionate, patient-centred care and interprofessional collaboration. Michelle’s dedication to serving diverse populations—including seniors, palliative patients, individuals experiencing pain or illness, and students—demonstrates her strong sense of social responsibility and leadership within the profession.
