CCO urges third-parties to endorse online classes during COVID-19 outbreak

Re: Third Party Endorsement to Offer Online Classes

Career Colleges Ontario represents 240 private colleges across Ontario.

Many of our member colleges have third-party accreditation for delivery of their programs.

In light of COVID-19 and the State of Emergency recently declared in Ontario, we are requesting letters from third-party accrediting bodies so that our members may enable temporary online delivery of their courses. The Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities is requesting these letters from our members.

All letters of endorsement will expire following notification by local public health officials that there is no continuing risk to students of contracting COVID-19 by attending their private career college.

We would appreciate a letter as expeditiously as possible in light of the circumstances.

Regards,

Christopher Conway
Chief Executive Officer, Career Colleges Ontario
