Sukhi Dhillon Honored with Career Colleges Ontario’s Excellence in Teaching Award!

CCO is thrilled to recognize Sukhi Dhillon as the recipient of this year’s Excellence in Teaching Award! Sukhi exemplifies the qualities that make a truly impactful educator at Career Colleges Ontario.

Sukhi consistently goes above and beyond to support student learning, adapting her teaching to meet students where they are and ensuring each learner feels supported, challenged, and able to succeed. While I cannot speak directly to her teaching philosophy, it is clear she is deeply committed to student success and values the diverse strengths students bring to their learning.

Sukhi is committed to ongoing professional development, having completed a Bachelor of Education in Adult Education and recently becoming certified as a neuroscience coach. She actively seeks to expand her expertise and has engaged in personal reflection on educational bias to improve her teaching and create a more inclusive learning environment. Her efforts have helped foster greater inclusivity both in her classroom and across the College.

While it is difficult to fully capture the extent of Sukhi’s exceptional contributions, she is deeply valued by our learners and the SODC community. Her compassion, dedication, and commitment to student success are evident in all she does.
